Stainless steel reducing bushings, also referred to as a reducer bushing are used to reduce or increase a pipe thread size or diameter. They threaded on both connection ends for leak-free connections between fittings, instrumentation, and pipe.
A pipe reducer bushing is a fitting with external male threads and smaller internal female threads. Female threads are on the inside of a fitting. Male threads are on the outside of a fitting and screw into the female threads. Then use PTFE tape to secure the seal.
Key factors for reducing bushings are alignment, consistent centerlines, and strong threads. Since it is a solid structure, the weight and intensity of the accessories should also be considered (deformation under stress load, the softness of the thread), etc.
Stainless steel-reducing bushings can withstand harsh environmental challenges. Stainless steel can be used as a material to improve durability. At the same time, they are resistant to corrosion, which can prevent rust accumulation and make the product longer life.
