A threaded 90°elbow is a pipe connection fitting that allows the pipe to bend or turn at an angle of 90 degrees. The thread types of elbows can vary according to different standards and requirements to meet the connection of different pipes and accessories.
Threaded 90°elbows are threaded on both ends like other pipe fittings. For leak-free connections between fittings, instruments, and pipes. Female threads are on the inside of a fitting. Male threads are on the outside of a fitting and screw into the female threads. Threaded connections include NPT (National Pipe Thread) or BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper), and use PTFE tape to secure the seal.
